Rotterdam Congregation

The Methodist Church in Rotterdam has been active in ministry for almost thirty-five years. However, the congregation has changed its meeting place more than once. Since January 2023, the place of worship has been moved to the center of Rotterdam. Sunday worship is now held at Scots International Church Schiedamsesingel 2.

We meet every Sunday at 2:00 PM for Sunday worship and you are most welcome to join the congregation in Rotterdam for a worship service, fellowship or Christian service.

Sunday worship is focused on the Word and includes the proclamation of the gospel; but we also share in rich fellowship as we embrace people as equal children of God. We celebrate new life in Jesus Christ and emphasize our role in home, church and community as stewards of God’s grace. Worship is mostly in English, but on the third Sunday of each month this is more of a bilingual celebration, with Dutch songs and prayers, and sometimes the sermon, which is part of the liturgy. Every Sunday the children’s service is usually in Dutch.

Sunday school for children is held during the worship service, but also online on Sundays from 10:00-11:00. We welcome children who may not be regular churchgoers to the congregation. The SKYPE link can be obtained by contacting tadolphus@ziggo.nl

The Adult Bible Study is held online on Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m. The first and third Tuesdays of the month are in Dutch, while the second and fourth Tuesdays are in English.

You can also help the church in its outreach efforts through financial support or physical attendance. By actively participating, you claim your place in the life of the church and God’s work in the world around us.

If you are new to the city and are looking for a home church, we welcome you with open arms. If you are on vacation, feel free to join in the worship and fellowship. There is always an opportunity to meet and share in the coffee and tea service after the worship service.
